It is a combination of Santa Claus & Robots: ROBOLIGHTS is not a celebration of Christmas, it is a massive whimsical futuristic winter wonderland set in the North pole. Built by artist Kenny Hassan Irwin. Started in 1986 at age 12. The display features a life time’s worth of monumental and variety complex art that spans thirty years from the time I was very little.
ROBOLIGHTS is a great experience for people of all ages and back grounds to inspire imagination and creativity in people as well respect for the limited resources of our world. 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival: January 2 – 12, 2015
The famous Black Tie Awards Gala will be held Saturday, January 3 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. This year’s honorees include Julianne Moore with the Desert Palm Achievement Award. Rosamund Pike with the Breakthrough Performance Award. Two-time Academy Award® nominated filmmaker Richard Linklaterwith with the Sonny Bono Visionary Award and J.K. Simmons with the Spotlight Award.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in North America, welcoming 135,000 attendees last year for its lineup of new and celebrated international features and documentaries.
The complete schedule of screenings and events, as well as full descriptions will be available online beginning December 26. Members of the Palm Springs International Film Society may purchase individual tickets or exchange 6-packs beginning December 23. General Public sales begin December 26.

The 2014 Festival of Lights parade in downtown Palm Springs will be Saturday, December 6th. Kicks off at 5:45 from Ramon and heads north to Tamarisk Road. Join the festivities, bring your own chairs or blankets, etc. Dress warm-caps, gloves, furs, blankets.
Celebrity Grand Marshall this year is Lisa Vanderpump and this event features floats adorned in thousands of colorful holiday lights and huge Macy’s-style balloons, equestrians, bands and autos. Consistently voted one of the best local events in the Coachella Valley, the parade was also voted one of the Top Ten Holiday Parades in the country in an AOL survey.

The Palm Springs Pride Festival Nov 7-9, 2014 will move from Sunrise Park to Downtown and will be free admission. Located on Palm Canyon Dr. between Baristo & Amado, same location where Palm Springs street fair is held every Thursday.
The pride parade will be on Nov 9th and takes place on Palm Canyon but will move to uptown Palm Springs, beginning on Amado and ending on Vista Chino.
The Festival will have musical performances starting Friday with the Free Equality Concert featuring Jeremiah Clark, Lorie Moore and Jack Mozie. Saturday acts include pop artist Ian Thomas, singer Bella Blue, Stee Lord, Amanda Lepore and more.
